Introducing Made By: Freedom

This fall, The Freedom Café hosted an exciting internship project. UNH students, Brittany Dunkle and Deniz Kayhan, supported by The Freedom Café board member, Rachel Vaz, served over 200 hours researching and developing a plan for an educational and ethical subscription box service. This subscription box introduces subscribers to high-quality products and brands that fully embrace transparency, sustainability, and provide insight into how to make conscious purchases in the future.

As part of the project, the team prepared an entry for the UNH Change Maker Collaborative, Social Venture Innovation Challenge. You can view the project entry video at: https://youtu.be/Wlp85mzTO7Y

While they did not win the contest, they gained important insights and connections and in the process put together our first, Made By: Freedom Holiday Box!

Thanks to the generosity of Nixon Peabody, sponsors of both The Freedom Café and the UNH Change Maker Collaborative, the Made By: Freedom Subscription Box is undergoing a feasibility review. The hope is that the initiative will move forward in the coming year.
