2023 Year In Review

A huge thank you to all of you who are journeying with The Freedom Cafe to build a world without exploitation! We are continually amazed by the way - connecting with people over a simple conscious cup of coffee or tea - leads to vision, collaboration and impactful change.

Training a Diverse Audience Through Impactful Events

  • “END Exploitation One Conscious Purchase at a Time”  Upper School Assembly & classroom presentations at Berwick Academy in partnership with The George and Marjorie Janetos Fund for Global Education

  • “Human Trafficking and Labor Exploitation: It Happens in New Hampshire, Where, How and What Can We Do About It?” - Panel discussion as part of the Coffee & Conversations program with the UNH Carsey School of Public Policy.   • Human and Civil Rights Advocacy and Awareness A Project for Syria - Panel Discussion organized by the International Visitor Leadership Program of the U.S. Department of State and The World Affairs Council of New Hampshire 

Upper School Assembly at Berwick Academy

Facilitating Local Engagement, Conscious Consuming and Investment in an Exploitation-Free World 

  • Serving over 10,000 visitors in The Cafe

  • Raising $46k in over the counter donations supporting Cafe programs and grants to address trafficking & exploitation

  • Hosting 63 advocacy events, connecting over 1200 individuals

  • Initiating a direct farm to cup coffee partnership with Roberto Aragon in Honduras

Push bar door, sound insulation and moving the stage have helped create a more accessible environment for guests and events

Supporting Students as They Prepare for a Lifetime of Leadership and Advocacy

36 Volunteers and 2 Student Fellows gained professional skills and understanding of how they can support an END to exploitation personally and vocationally
